I am in the process of replacing my old media server (that run WHS,
which was orphaned by Microsoft years ago) with a newer, faster one. In
doing so, I am finding servers that "support wav format music" but
cannot read wav tags.

This results in a large file of tracks that are listed alphabetically by
file name and no album art (30K of them, in my case). Furthermore,
these tracks cannot be played by LMS because (I am assuming) that the
identifying information is invisible to it. In addition, the NAS folder
system remains empty (except folder name).

I have been told by two of the manufacturer's tech support staff that
their system only reads id3 tags and they are commonly found on flac,
mp-3, and apple loss-less files.

Is there a work around for this? Can wav tags be converted, preferably
in batch, to id-3? Are there NAS' that read wav files (including tags)?
