I too occasionally have a tidy up tags session and lately have been adding lyrics to tracks (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?98161-Song-Lyrics-plugin-will-soon-stop-working-due-to-musixmatch-changes/page4) using Foobar, but this always affects the New Music order.

JJ has now explained how the New Music function orders albums (and how he prevents minor changes disrupting this order) but I (and I suspect the rest of us) still have pretty shambolic New Music displays. Which is a shame because Michael Herger has just speeded up the New Music display function. I have found a free utility - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/bulk_file_changer.html - that will "Modify their created/modified/accessed time". If I bulk change the modified time to created time and then do a clear & rescan, then New Music should return to being a date ordered list of New Music. Then if JJ would be generous and share his MP3Tag Vb script, future changes will keep the New Music album order integrity. A camel is a racehorse designed by a committee. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Wirrunna's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3225 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99755 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list ripping@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
