My thinking is that LMS really should track when it ads the album/file to the dB the first time , stored in persistent.dB for example But it requires a stable dB so that "nuke the cache folder" is not needed that often and possibly also means to export this data when you move the installation . Creation date is a reasonable compromise as the bug sugests . This would reflect when you ripped it or copied it to your machine.
