There was an update to my preferred vinyl digitising software today - VinylStudio by Alpine Soft - which has inspired me to attack another batch of vinyl.
The attached image shows my "vinyl ripping rig" in my office. The deck - a Trio KD1033B with AT95 - is connected to a Behringer VMX200USB mixing desk which has a USB connection to my main work PC which has 2 moinitors. The mixer outputs to a fairly recently acquired Onkyo mini hi-fi and then to some Wharfedale Modus Cubes which sit on my desk. The big advantage of the mixer for ripping is when you get to the splitting stage you can just swipe the mixer to the left to get the PC's USB output which you need to split accurately especially when you have no track times as a start point as in the case here - Motown Gold (a 1976 UK only compilation). I have another deck in my living room that I also use with a Behringer UCA222 and a netbook but I prefer the office set up. 19450 +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: IMG_2433.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=19450| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ *Vortexbox LMS 7.8 music on QNAP TS419p via NFS* iThingys/iPeng/Tablets *Living Room* - SB3 -> Onkyo TS606 - > Celestion Ditton F20s - Zone 2 -> Sony TA FE 320 -> Sennheiser RS 130 & B&W P7 *Office* - RPi -> Sony TA FE320 -> Celestion F10s / SB3 -> Onkyo CRN 755 -> Wharfedale Modus Cubes *Dining Room* -> SB Boom *Kitchen* -> UE Radio (upgraded to SB Radio) *Bedroom (Bedside)* - SB Touch -> Topping TP21 -> AKG Headphones *Bedroom (TV)* - Amazon Fire TV (SB Player) -> Topping TP20 -> Wharfedale Modus Cubes ------------------------------------------------------------------------ d6jg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44051 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104807 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
