The port of Perl 5 on the current Acorn User CD is my ancient 1996 one. It is
actually older than the version on the AU 200 CD :-(. This is in spite of my
warning AU about this when they contacted me for permission to use my stuff.
(Unfortunately they did not say *exactly* what they wanted: I thought it
might be gdbm or my Bibtech to Citation script.)
Do not use this old version. If anyone emails me about it, I will pass on
details of the latest version. Would Nick or someone confirm where (and
which) the latest version is?
I have not yet tried the GNU complilers on the AU CD. I hope these at least
are up to date :-{.
