To All: I fall into the category of a new (very new) user of Rivendell. The Radio station is not new.
Context: The radio station has been receiving a Satellite feed and rebroadcasting it using RDAir. This has worked well for them. Context: The satellite feed comes in to the audio card on “IN”. At the moment, I do not know how it gets mapped to the output feed (I’m still learning about that). For this message, it just happens (magic). Change: They would like to air some local programs in addition to the satellite feed. Context: I create a new log file (all the stuff you have to do to create a log file). I created from WAV files, MP3 and some audio files. This worked fine. EXCEPT: The satellite feed continue to play while the new log file was playing. I turned off RDairPlay, and the satellite feed kept playing. Then I wondered if there was a way for Rivendell to stop the input port, and then start up my log file. (That is not said correctly. I believe the way it should happen is my log file would stop the input port). Then I want the old log file to restart the input port. Is this doable in RDAirPlay? Thank you for any help you can provide.
