Black Diamond FM (http://blackdiamondfm.com) in Midlothian has its news satellite feed connected in the same way.
I have two ALSA configs stored and two shell scripts which invoke alsactl to load those preset configs. One has the Line-In muted, the other not. The scripts are called 'on' and 'off'. A macro cart executes the on/off switches at the required times as part of the news-in and news-out sequences. Assuming you're using ALSA (JACK will need another setup but the principle's the same), look at the Rivendell Operations Guide for the RML commands you'll need, and `man alsactl` to look at the load/store options to recreate the same thing where you are jh On 10 August 2011 18:03, Ken West <[email protected]> wrote: > > EXCEPT: The satellite feed continue to play while the new log file was > playing.
