Hi folks. very old thread this one but as Fred has mentioned above, "...* it's been talked about here off-and-on for years..*" ;) I have been doing some research in video frameworks and did find the Media lovin toolkit http://www.mltframework.org/twiki/bin/view/MLT/WebHome , which has been used by broadcast video playouts systems already. It got me thinking if a Rivendell/MLT merge would be a too crazy roject ? even possible for a long term project ?
Gstreamer has been very actively maintened as well, now with plugins for some SDI cards...
