 Once a key binding has been defined by the manager, I find
 that X won't re-define it to the default without being
 told specifically to do so, or by exiting X completely,
 and re-starting the GUI environment.
 Therefore, KDE frequently has a bad habit of destroying
 otherwise sensible bindings. 
 Also true for Open Office.
