Hello, We're using Rivendell 2.0.2 on Fedora machines, and there are problems I would like to discuss with you. Maybe you have the solution.
- Since 1.7.2, the new import mechanism has shown caveats : we cannot import long pieces of sound. After having solved the timeout issue (with "Timeout 1200", we even tried 3000), some long sounds simply don't import with no further notice than "failed... skipping". Our solution was to split these sounds in several chunks, and import them sparately. Not very handy. Our longest piece of recording was 1 hour and 42 minutes. I remember having imported much longer sounds with the old system. - We still have problems with the scheduler : sometimes, the same artist is scheduled twice in a row (worst case), or sometimes, two carts with the same scheduler code follow each other. The rules are well defined, and we can't figure out why it's behaving like this. We tried to generate a schedule with absolutely no constraint (no specific scheduler rules, simple events with no special scheduler codes needed) with no luck. Our database may not be very big (almost 4000 carts), but, in 1.7.2, apart from the problem with accented characters (the scheduler seemed not to recognize that the same artist had been scheduled soon earlier), we never experienced such a bizarre behavior. Are we alone in those cases ? Thank you for your lights. Hoggins!
