Yes, that would be nice. Although it is not very difficult to do this
directly on the MySQL table, but that would prevent errors.

As for our case, I'm not sure the play counters are the issue : the
machine keeps scheduling like two carts in a row with the same
scheduling code, for example, and we approach 4000 carts. Maybe this is
not much, compared to other DBs, but I guess it is enough to ensure
correct rotation.

The worse behavior is when it sometimes schedules two carts with the
same artist in a row. We checked when this occured : the names are
identically spelled BUT this often occurs with artists with accented
character. This was a know issue with the 1.7.2 version, but had to be
addressed in the 2.x. It appears not, or maybe our problem is more specific.
