ISTR that's a catch-all error message.

Try running rdlibrary from a terminal window, and see if any interesting messages appear there. If apache has problems accessing an audio file, it may put its error message in the terminal window.

I checked the /tmp directory. . .  there's barely anything in it. 

I get this message regardless of the type of file (wav/mp3/mp2/audio cd) I'm
trying to import or rip.

(However, I am able to import audio via RDcatch.)

Any other thoughts?
