Thank you for the additional info. I knew quite a bit about symlinks before... although you told me even more information about them I did not know... one thing I never did know until now was how to create them.
I will attempt to make sure this symlink functions properly and does not cause any undesirable behavior, like the original libhpi.so.10 (I forgot to mention it was a mistype I said "0" but it really was "10") getting deleted because of the symlink getting deleted/corrupted. I may even back it up on a separate hard drive. Thanks again everyone for your help!
