Apologies if I'm stating the obvious regarding the sound card. Have you restarted the Rivendell services since rdalsaconfig (or just restart the OS).
I seem to recall some sort of message telling me to restart the audio service when I was messing with Rivendell a while back. I apologise for the vagueness as my memory is failing me. Having said that a reboot should solve that. As for the invalid URL, did you install apache2?
