That's something I have been thinking about over night, is to for now just setup drop boxes for each voice track (of course this would not be very ideal, but if works in the mean time) I have a web based explorer like interface that my announcers log in to and for each radio network there are specific folders for those voice tracks. When I print their music logs from the scheduler they would just take note of the voice track cart numbers, name their MP3 file as that cart number, put those files in the appropriate radio networks folder and then the drop boxes would just import in to the appropriate cart in RD.
As for playback, that wouldn't be necessary while recording. I guess the main idea to having a web based voice tracking system would be to simply record your VT remotely and directly in to the system without the need to physically be in the local studio. However once you have recorded your VT it would be handy if there was the ability to listen back to it and then even edit the segue markers. For example, I am using NaturalMusic as the scheduling system, when I print the music logs they also display the intro times on songs. So to make your VTs REALLY SOUND LIVE!, you could edit your segue markers so that if you have a 30sec VT and you have a 10sec intro on a song, you could segue your VT to have the song start 10sec under your VT. The team who have put RD together have really done a fantastic job! it's a brilliant system and I know that one day it will really market and crap all over it's commercial counterparts.
