There's this one, http://riograndemud.com/clockwheel/ I have not used it so not 
really sure how it works. And of course, back in the day, Prophet Systems had a 
free one called Nexgen or Musicgen, I think I might have a copy somewhere, 
again, I have never used it so don't know if it will serve your purpose. 
Anyway, I'll search for it and get back to you.

Not free, but an inexpensive buyout.  http://www.nat-soft.com/nm5.htm

I think it is a $695 buyout.  That comes with a year of support, I think,
and free future upgrades.  Even though it is  a buyout, they still support
and upgrade it.
