Hi, all. . . I'm trying to use a Broadcast Tools SS 8.2 with RRAbuntu (RD 1.7.1 with Ubuntu 10.04).
I've read the instructions on these webpages: -- http://rivendell.tryphon.org/wiki/Network_Switcher_setup_-_Broadcast_Tools_SS_8.2 -- http://rivendell.tryphon.org/wiki/SWITCHERS.txt_-_Switcher_Application_Notes_for_Rivendell#BROADCAST_TOOLS_SS_8.2 . . . but, they don't make sense to me. The only thing I've been able to confirm is that the DIP switches on the SS 8.2 are correctly set (switches 4 and 5 are on, and all others are off -- I'm planning on controlling everything with macros and ST/SA/SR commands from RML). How do I know that the SS 8.2 is talking with the computer? with Ubuntu? with Rivendell? The instructions mention: Driver Name: BroadcastTools SS8.2 Do I need a driver to use this device? If so, where can I get it? (I can't find drivers listed anywhere.)
