These (along with most cards based on the ICE1712 chipset, like the Delta 44's 
bigger siblings the 66 and 1010) work quite well with Rivendell on the software 
side.  The analog side is decent too, but the 'balanced' claim needs to be 
taken with a large barrel of salt as the inputs are actually only 
'faux-balanced' --i.e. only one side of the balanced circuit actually connects 
to an input; the other is connected to ground through a resistor.  Good enough 
to keep from blowing an upstream active-balanced output driver, but completely 
useless as far as common-mode noise rejection is concerned (which is the real 
reason you want balanced connections in the first place).
