It seems like I read a thread on here some months ago that people had successfully run Rivendell in a virtual machine. I've set it up in a VirtualBox VM, but Jack and ALSA don't seem very happy. (I haven't bothered trying to start Rivendell since Jack starts spewing XRun messages as soon as you start it and I've tried it with Audacity and it is so choppy that you can't even recognize what is being recorded.
