We don't have an ARC-10 but we have been using USB interfaces with Rivendell 1.7.2.
That's actually what's keeping us from upgrading to 2.x.x. Something that use to happily use our USB interfaces is now "fixed" to not us them in the new version. I've beat my head against the wall over it and so has Fred G. but no fixes so far. I'm not well enough equipped to fix it and Fred has way to many irons in the fire. We have an alternative solution coming and if it's a coin toss I'd rather Fred spend his time on the new solution. Fewer and fewer PC's have expansion slots. There are some really attractive machines that only have USB for I/O expansion. Since Rivendell depends on the Linux HCL for most of it's hardware driver support, I feel confident that the community will catch up. Just be careful for now depending on audio interfaces not specifically enumerated as being supported in Rivendell. Many hours can be burned if you stray to far from the well beaten path.
