Hi, Did you disable PulseAudio, or is it still running?
There's an article in the Wiki about this, and Ubuntu by default turns it on. I've run into situations where Pulse brings troubles to systems. http://rivendell.tryphon.org/wiki/Ubuntu_-_No_sound/sound_card_in_Rivendell_after_setup Second - see my previous message on the Arrakis USB Sound Card thread - try with the etc/asound.conf settings like I suggested there, and make sure that your sample rate in rdadmin is set to 44100 (but you've already done this). As always, restart your Rivendell daemons after making any changes to your asound.conf file (or in rdadmin's sample rate setting) Another question - is it possible that your sound files are 48000 on the 1.7.2 system? What happens if you set your sample rate in rdadmin to 48000, and asound.conf to 48000, restart your Rivendell daemons, and try and play audio? To fast, too slow, no audio at all? Third - try installing Jack and see what your results are. Hope this helps > This is on two different identical computers - both of them running > Ubuntu 10.04. > > One of them is running Rivendell 1.7.2 and the other one is a "ground > zero" install of Ubuntu 10.04 with Rivendell 2.1.4 > > The rd.conf file was the first place I looked, which has the rate set to > 44100. _______________________________________________ Rivendell-dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.rivendellaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/rivendell-dev
