I can see the soundcard, but still not
getting Rivendell to see any sound devices (looking in RDAdmin)

We have a Delta 1010 (same chipset) and we got it to work using
Envy24 control package included in Alsa tools (I think). You can
even install just that tool by compiling the mudita24 package...
Rivendell works with it correctly. (We have Ubuntu 10.04 with Riv
2.1.4 from Tryphon repo).
