Well I rebooted it again and it works,
be nice though if it would remember my alsamixer settings so I
don't have to open a terminal and open alsamixer and run my output
levels back up every time.

We have a Delta 1010 (same chipset) and we got it to
work using Envy24 control package included in Alsa
tools (I think). You can even install just that tool
by compiling the mudita24 package...
Rivendell works with it correctly. (We have Ubuntu
10.04 with Riv 2.1.4 from Tryphon repo).
