We've been seeing this too on our system. I have been wondering about it
because
1) we never saw it on this system until about a month or two ago
2) there is 4GB of RAM
3) it doesn't appear the system is memory constrained, that is, when I look
at the System Monitor things aren't "pegged".

I've wondered if it was due to an update or something similar.

Our 'fix' is to minimize the RDairplay window and then bring it back up,
that usually solves the issue for the moment.

For the record, the box is running Rivendell 2.2.1 on the Centos Broadcast
Appliance install. The hardware is not cutting edge (a Dell Precision 360
I think), but I've been mystified by this behavior because it's new, not
something we've seen since day one with this same box, RAM, hard drives,
etc.
