I have been a lurker for many months, but I now am looking for a really wild piece of software......
and I am hoping that someone may have an Idea where to look.

A firm in our area has developed an audio recording system that records streaming audio and with the use of the encoded metadata, will record segmented audio and store the audio segments on a local hard drive.

We currently are requested to keep a recorded log as a proof of performance, and we are allowed to do this digitally, BUT most of the software recording systems only allow for a time insertion at the set beginning of the recording segment. Thus if the logger is set to record for an hour, we only know that the start of the hour is approximately the start of the recording.

The new recorder digitally encodes and records (via database), the cut metadata, (as sent out by the RDS system) as well as the time (based upon the rds data change), and then allows you to look through the stream based upon the meta data sequences..

Has anyone heard of such a software that could be tied to the Rivendell system... or for that matter any other system?
