Hi Wayne & Ruediger, Thanks for responding and for your help with scripts and instructions.
For some reason it's Qt that's failing at the ./configure stage despite installing all the dependencies from Ruedigers script. The error says 'failed to find matching components of a complete Qt installation' I'm suspicious that updates I let Ubuntu do after installing the initial set of dependencies detailed in that url I posted earlier may have somehow caused my Qt problem? It's only a hunch and I'm probably wrong :-) 2 questions. 1. What do you think is the best sudo apt-get command I should invoke to clear out all of the Qt related files and reinstall what I need to get past this error? 2. Ruediger - there are patch files called in your script - do I need them and what do they do to Rdairplay? Regards and happy new year to you both from Dunedin, New Zealand.
