Greetings, Well it seems that it is not a cd ripping problem, but a nfs problem. the nfs share /var/snd is locked and it will not let su change permissions on it. Trying to figure out why this debian workstation is locking that shared folder. When unmounted the lock on the folder is removed.
I know I have seen this before, but I can't remember what the problem is. Please refresh my memory.
