I had this problem when I had a really tight hard timed event for midnight.

The only thing I could think of was the midnight to load the next log competes with the midnight at the start of the next days log and sometimes the first log wins.

All I did to solve it was give myself a couple of seconds on changeover. So now At 23:59:53 I fade down the audio over 5 seconds (in the AUX Log). Then at 23:59:59 I have a hard start which just seques into the log chain.

This loads the next days log and starts playing, this log has nothing hard timed at 00:00:00 as in theory apart from any loading delay the log chain will kick this off at as near as no difference midnight.

By the way the reason why you are having music play until 4 is kind of a fluke. Once one of your timed events kicks in the log will shift again and start playing any carts that didn't play the day before.

Hope this makes sense,

Hi, i am using Rivendell for two years now. And for no reason sometimes the next log does not load. The funny think is that after midnight the music still playes and in the morning from around 6-8 the music stops and i find the log to be empty and with the previous log loaded. This happends randomly in one week 2 times and after that for 2 mounths nothing. It's getting on my nerves becouse it's preatty disturbing to have black on the radio.

I had all the versions updated in the last two years.
I have the playout station wich is the database and one client both setup with real ips.

What do you think is the culprit ?

If i have missed something out please point it.

Thank you.
