I've learned the hard way never to put a hard-timed event anywhere near midnight. If the log is running early or late, the results can be unfortunate.
Consider, for instance, a station with a hard-timed event every day at 23:59:00. If the station is running more than a minute early, and chains to tomorrow's log at, say, 23:58:30, then thirty seconds later the hard-timed event at the end of tomorrow's log will trigger, causing all of tomorrow's events to be skipped. If there's no log ready for the day after tomorrow, then rdairplay will stop.
