Hi Tim,

I've just made a quick check. The quantal Rivendell 2.5.3 package seems
to contain the init.d script :

$ dpkg -c rivendell_2.5.3-1_amd64.deb | grep init.d/
drwxr-xr-x root/root         0 2013-10-07 13:13 ./etc/init.d/
-rwxr-xr-x root/root      2351 2013-10-07 10:06 ./etc/init.d/rivendell

Most of the time, this script is no longer required. caed/ripccd and
rdcatch are started by Rivendell applications and the script
rivendell-daemons can stop them (as the "normal" user) :

$ rivendell-daemons stop
Stop Rivendell caed daemon : done
Stop Rivendell ripcd daemon : done
Stop Rivendell rdcatchd daemon : done

Regards,
