one extra issue, I have a note the 00:00 duration once also came up when
the host / rights were not set correct at another workstation, the user
in this case could click on all kinds off buttons but not until the very
very end he was blocked to import because off settings in rdadmin.
resulting in 00:00 duration

I can perhaps set you up Allesio, I run Rivendell on Debian Wheezy,
during installation from the Tryphon Repo on the workstations I had to
solve many bugs. On the workstation that does the data entry I had the
00:00 duration , this particular error was solved by installing
rivendell-server from the repo on the workstation (off course without
mysql server) and turning selinux of , I haven't got a clue why but
after this data entry could start
vi /etc/selinux/semanage.conf
SELINUX=disabled
I met 5 bugs on data entry (rdlibrary) , installation on this
workstation took 14 days and all errors I met required multiple
changes to make it work what made it particullaly difficult to debug,
because nothing changes after modifying only of these items so at
first they do not seem inportant

Hi Geoff,
I perfectly agree with you... It's not for production purpose.
Basically a friend of mine wants to do live shows with his laptop.
He's so confident with Rivendell that asked me to configure his
laptop like stand alone Rivendell station.
His laptop is a beautiful Sony Vaio Pro (last generation,
http://www.sony.co.uk/product/vn-pro/tab/overview), with touchscreen.
Because of recent hardware all Stable/LTS distribution can fit well
on that (they can't see wifi or touchscreen, or limited cpu speed)...
The only way I found is installing Xorg intel driver >= 2.21 and
kernel >= 3.11... (wifi still needs manual patching).
For that reason choices are few: Debian Sid, Ubuntu with some PPA or
other rolling release distro.
At this moment I found Alban packages having problem with Apache2
(which is 2.4.x, no more 2.2.x) as it can't see
http://localhost/rd-bin/....html. If I manually compile Rivendell in
Sid (grabbing QT3 from Alban) I can setup Apache, import/delete-carts
do not give errors messages, but it actually write *empty* carts.
I am still investigating...

Hi Alessio
Are you sure that you want to run Rivendell on Debian Sid? Sid is
generally the Testing version of Debian and can produce interesting
results with any software.
If you were planning in implementing Rivendell at your station a
Stable version would be a best bet.
All the best
