Yes, they are.

But a "macro" really is just the term for a series of markup language
commands when placed into a cart. Those same markup language commands
supposedly can be run from the command line and technically I guess that's
not a "macro". In my case I need these commands to be started from the
command line by another program event, not on a schedule or at the push of a
panel button in AirPlay.

In testing thought I discovered the same commands when dropped into a text
(.rml) file and fired from a terminal command do NOT perform the same way as
they do in a "macro", fired by Rivendell in the log or from a panel button.

Specifically the sleep "SP" command seems to be ignored and the next command
is executed immediately and there are other anamolies. Creating a "macro"
cart, then using the command line to simply fire the cart is an acceptable,
if kludgy, work around since my third-party program has to poke and play
with the macro cart commands dynamically in the MySQL database.

But someone should put on the to do list looking at this bug - that the
exact same commands behave differently depending on where they are called.
The error is repeatable if anyone wants the details to look at.

Why must it be a RDCatch event can't it be a MACRO, they are meant for doing
such things ?
