My OS of choice these days is Debian 7. I use the Tryphon repositories for various prerequisites, but compile Rivendell and asihpi from source. I find that combination gives me the fewest headaches.

      RHEL 5 or 6, in its CentOS manifestation.

      I still regard the RHEL 7 integration as “beta”, though it’s
      actually very close to production ready.
