Thanks,

Apparently I have more issues than that. I don’t have an /etc/rd.conf file. I
see in the installation folder I had untarred is a link of rivendell to
rivendell-suse. I probably messed up from the beginning. Maybe chose the wrong
build to use? I don’t know.

Be sure:
- You have MySQL server running somewhere
- Edit /etc/rd.conf so that it points to that server
- When launched, RDAdmin, first looks for /etc/rd.conf, then reads the address
of SQL server. If it can find a valid Rivendell database it lets you log in,
otherwise it will try to create for you (in that case it'll need MySQL root
credentials).

I’ve succeeded to compile the Riv 2.10.3 from source and completed the install
on the RPi2. The menu items are showing on the Pi desktop interface and when I
select RDAdmin it says ‘unable to access the Riv database’ I have a feeling I
need to set up the mysql database initially but I can’t find any reference for
that.

Would anyone have any ideas to send my way? Thanks.
