I'm assuming you mean for tests, as I don't think the regs permit you to delay actual alerts.
I would assume you could put a trigger event in the log to trigger tests, somehow, driving your endec. You *could* just record the test and play it out as a cart, but I'm not sure that's acceptable per the regs either...
