Their system will absolutely only accept their windows encoder. You can not use a generic icecast encoder. How do I know ? I can represent SecureNet Systems myself. Having said that, yes you can use something like a Pro Stream set for Rivendell PAD mode, even the Paravel/Rivendell Glasscoder, but it will go through the Windows only Cirrus encoder at SecureNet, for which there is an extra charge ! You will pay Micro$oft wither way. DO NOT tell anyone at SecureNet you are using Rivendell ! Tell them PAD. They have a Rivendell module which is very badly broken, and does not work. The PAD module is the correct one. Tell them PAD. Unfortunately, SecureNet is heavily invested in Windows. Bad decisions from the past haunt them in unfixable ways, just as Bill had envisioned so many decades ago. Yes, I can represent SecureNet, and there are reasons you've not seen me offer it to you on this list. -- Cowboy _______________________________________________ Rivendell-dev mailing list [email protected] http://caspian.paravelsystems.com/mailman/listinfo/rivendell-dev
