No. As long as it has the correct path and extension, I understand and have observed that within about 30 seconds of no further changes to the drop box folder, it begins importing. It helps to have a folder and file name specified for the error log as well so you can troubleshoot and see that it is working.
I set up a folder in rd_xfer for each of our groups and when the production people have music or announcements, etc ready, they drag and drop them in the correct folder. In a minute they check rdlibrary and edit names or whatever they want.
