Generally, for Rivendell, you want to configure the card to have as many output 
streams as possible.  MP3 modes don't figure; Rivendell *never* uses those.  If 
you’re playing from an MP2 library, the card will have to work a bit harder, 
but in a decade and a half I’ve yet to ever see it “run out of gas”.

You can actually keep track of the DSP resource utilization in near-realtime by 
opening up RDHpiInfo and selecting the card of interest in the drop-down.  Hit 
the ‘Details’ button if you want to see exactly how much “gas” each DSP 
subsystem is utilizing.
