With CD-based distribution fading into the sunset, the pro-audio world is increasingly moving in the direction of ubiquitous 48,000 sample/sec plants. Pretty much all radio AoIP systems (Dante, Livewire, Ravenna, WheatNet, to name some) are inherently 48,000 sample/sec based, as are modern audio codecs such as Opus.
