Hrrrmmmm... Well, I know this isn't very useful or helpful, but it kind of sounds like it's related to the NVidia display card. Our systems have the on-board Intel graphics device and I didn't need to do anything special to get the ELO's working (2700 IntelliTouch, by the way). So this might also be a model-specific thing you're up against.
