On a new Rivendell system built using the Paravel instructions (CentOS 7), a strange thing happens when I open rdlibrary.

If I select the "Music1" group and uncheck the box limiting the display to the first 100, all 27,000-odd carts in that group appear in the list, but a window opens that says "Please wait" and just sits there, with no progress bar. I can't cancel this window, but if I move it aside, rdlibrary works normally and I can access any cart on the list.

If I choose "Music1" again while the "Please wait" window is there, it disappears.

Oddly, I have another Rivendell system, also built using the Paravel instructions, with the same contents as this one, but it is an older, slower, machine. On that machine the "Please wait" window appears, but I get a progress bar for about 10 seconds, after which it disappears.

On both machines the OS is installed on a solid state drive, and /var/snd is mapped to a large mechanical drive (4 TB on the newer machine; 2 TB on the older machine).

These two machines have the same contents: same audio files, same database, same version of Rivendell (2.19.3), same OS. The older machine was built last month, the newer one this week. Only the hardware is different.

Weird, huh?
