Thanks Drew & Lorne! Thanks Fred!
Just in my opinion should be that: If the dragging action does not cross the delimited line of the cart-slot, it does not happen, without adding any additional confirmations. If this cannot be programmed to trigger in this way, then I would prefer that the duplication action should not be done at all...there is a copy button for this. Or maybe a check confirmation in setup (rdadmin-->>manage host), under the drag&drop, same as "allow drops on pannels not in setup mode". Talking as a programmer is the proposed solution that even though a drag and drop is initiated, if the "event " is not dragged out of its original position then it should be automatically cancelled? Or should there be a popop offering to cancel or duplicate in place? Does anyone currently "drag to self" to duplicate in place? all the best, drew > So ...I must accept that the second result of a drag & drop is that: > If you use touchscreen you have more than 50% chance to duplicate cart > rathet than setup a transition of next cart to stop or seg or set a timed > event. > > So, a cool feature will be desabled... > *MIRCEA PAUN* > +40 724232195 <+40%20724232195> > [email protected] > > From: Lorne Tyndale <[email protected]> <[email protected]> > Date: 31 December 2019 at 08:30:56 > To: Mircea Paun <[email protected]> <[email protected]> > CC: USER DISCUSSION ABOUT THE RIVENDELL RADIO AUTOMATION SYSTEM > <[email protected]> > <[email protected]> > Subject: RE: [RDD] bug or feature? > > Mircea, >> >> In your second example, I don't see what is confusing at all about that. >> >> You're requesting RdAirplay to create an exact duplicate of an event in >> the log. >> >> I often do that to create a quick duplicates of a log entry.
