Hello,

This is the first time I've ever been a part of a mailing list, so I'm not sure of the etiquette.

We use Music Master and Wide Orbit currently for 6 radio stations. I would like to utilize Rivendell as an automation redundancy should our Wide Orbit machines require downtime for maintenance, etc.

I have successfully installed RD Server and an RD client; backed up audio from WO, and will start porting audio to RD Server tomorrow/next week. What are some other steps that I need to get -a- station going, and then add more? I'd like to do just one as a proof of concept and then get going with more if things are relatively painless.

I read a post from 2013 on this mailing list that indicates that all metadata will transfer easily from WO to RD. I'm not terribly versed in Music Master, but I know I'll likely have to do the majority of the grunt work to get this going initially.

We also use Marketron for traffic. Is there a viable way to duplicate traffic across both systems? I was thinking of making a data server, a kind of ingest system, that would duplicate the files to both servers simultaneously via a python script or cron job.

Thanks, and I apologize for my ignorance of mailing list etiquette.
