note to self: see what is there, not what you think you see...
   That was it!  I checked the usual user - all ok, but when I checked
the *default
user *["user'}] the permissions were blank.  Checking the permissions for
the *default user* restored the rdcatch functions.
   The user displayed in RDAirPlay is KQMJ so I thought that would govern
all - but that must not always be the case.
