We recently had some talking about moving our code from subversion to git. We
dropped the discussion but, given the strong support for the idea of moving to
git as our primary VCS, I propose we ask the infrastructure to provide
assistance to us in the process of having the main repository relocated to git
(for this purpose there's a form to be filled on gitbox.apache.org). The only
open point is what kind of Apache Gitbox/GitHub interplay we want to do. As far
as I can tell we may ask to create a repository on Gitbox and integrate it with
an account on github that would work as a mirror. There's a GitBox/GitHub
integration option we may opt for. I have no idea how deep is this integration
tough. We should also take a decision on the dismissed projects code (mod_tcl,
websh etc.), in my mind they would have separate repositories.
