I think we need to release soon a 3.3.1 release of rivet (available for
evaluation from http://www.rivetweb.org/rivet/rivet-3.3.1rc1.tar.gz).
for 3.3.0 the tar archive expanded in a directory having a misleading
name (a cosmetic problem) but a few incompatibilities emerged as Tcl9
channels don't accept -encoding binary as option and this breaks
uploading files to channels. A test was added to check this sort of
regressions
