Hello, happy new year to all.
Scanned with Rootkithunter, got this below ==== as the only potential
problem but have recently had some sort of browser hijack (both
safari & firefox) while in an https backdoor member site. The web
people there swear it's only on our system (OS X 10.4.7 on imac g5).
We cannot find what it could be. It only happens in one section of
the site and ONLY after pressing the 'search' button in that specific
section of the site (that we know so far).
That's the original reason I searched and found rootkithunter because
we still have the browser hijack/redirect problem. Are these things
related -- is it something else?
Here is what the Rootkithunter Security Advisories result was:
====================
* Check: SSH
Searching for sshd_config...
Found /etc/sshd_config
Checking for allowed root login... Watch out Root login possible.
Possible risk!
info:
Hint: See logfile for more information about this issue
Checking for allowed protocols...

=====================
We recently installed MAMP for trying to figure out how to test sites
before uploading them (still trying to figure that one out -- have no
idea what we're doing with that). Is that relevant to this?
What should I do? My cohort thinks it is something else but I can't
find any info about what would cause browser hijacks & redirects
within an SSL site. Thanks for any advice and assistance.
