I think that you may have solved the mystery. We had a power failure
overnight around the time that the errors started showing up. The
computer shut itself down when the UPS battery started getting low.
Might have interrupted the scan.

Since there shouldn't be more than one instance of RKH running at any
given time, I guess it's fine to leave the setting remmed and use the no
lock file default.
