I have an RHEL4 server and the above worked fine for me.

I'm wondering if either you have a corrupted copy of RKH or there is
something odd going on with grep/egrep.

The MD5 checksum I have for the 1.4.0 tar.gz file is
37b1ceb79a5ff3debca335d6550ac6b0. Can you check that yours matches this
please.

For 'egrep', I have the path '/bin/egrep'. Can you check that, as root,
the path is the same please. It should also just be a soft link to the
'grep' command.
