i added another feature, try this on a file with <saveobject> nodes:

  XMLfile <- "path/to/some_plugin.xml"
  cat(rk.JS.doc(
    variables=rk.JS.scan(XMLfile),
    printout=rk.JS.saveobj(XMLfile)))

right now i think i'm through with my wishlist and looking forward to 
debugging the package. it now also has full support for help pages, which 
means that about every aspect of plugin writing can be completely scripted 
with R code (JavaScript will always need some direct pasting, though).

rk.plugin.skeleton() has a *lot* of options now, but almost all of them are 
set to useful defaults.
